Yondr is a startup that makes magnetic locking smartphone\npouches, designed to help people switch off their mobile and tune into\nexistence. Yondr CEO Graham Dugoni was motivated to create the pouches after\ndiscovering that people at many of the concerts he was attending were absorbed\nin their telephones than with the songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This shared belief system gave life to the perfect Venture\nto induce Lakota’s phone-free vision ahead. Attendees have to lock away their\nphones to gain entry into the club and can access them upon leaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eoin says the reaction to the concept has been great so far!\nThis response backs up the findings in Eventbrite’s latest report on The\nShifting Rules About Mobile Phones in Gigs. The proliferation of smartphone\nusage (and the parallel rise of social networking ) is becoming more and more\nnoticeable in dwell spaces — and most notably at live music events. Eventbrite\nwas inquisitive to know how attendees and actors felt about the omnipresence of\nphones at events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s no surprise, then, that 56 percent of the event\nattendees<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eoin and his team launched a pre-event questionnaire for a\nDeeper comprehension of the feelings and worries of the registered ravers, and\nindeed, the prospective attendees aren’t without their worries. 23% report\nfeeling anxious about the event, raising issues like getting lost, losing friends,\nand not having the ability to respond quickly in case of a crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
